About Us

Kruz Hair Salon (now Kruz Hair and Beauty) opened in May 2008 by mother and daughter partnership Catherine Campbell and Karen Taylor. In November 2013 we expanded our services to include nail and beauty treatments. Moving on a few years to June 2022, with a smaller team,the time was right to downsize and relocate to our existing premises at No. 10 Bonnar Street in Dunfermline City. We are delighted that our small City Centre salon offers a relaxing space and personal service for our clients.

Karen Taylor, Co-owner and Principal Stylist……Karen has 21 years experience in the hairdressing industry. Her hairdressing career began on leaving school at the age of 17 when she started working as a full time trainee stylist in a local salon in Dunfermline. Qualifying when she was 19, Karen has dedicated her whole working life to hairdressing, constantly learning and improving her skills.

Lynsey Gibson, Stylist & Colour Expert……Lynsey has been in the hairdressing industry since 2010 and loves everything colour. She successfully completed the Wella Master Colour Expert Programme in 2017 to become a ‘Wella Colour Expert’ (only 2% of hairdressers across the UK hold this title). As well as being an expert colourist, Lynsey is also skilled and experienced in all other aspects of hairdressing and is continually learning new skills to keep up. to date with all the latest trends.

Susan Bannerman, Nail & Beauty Technician……Susan (Karen’s sister) joined the salon in 2013 as a part time receptionist. Previously having worked for a major high street bank, she decided on a complete career change. In 2014, she trained as a CND Nail Technician and progressed to complete further training courses within the beauty industry. Susan is also fully qualified and experienced in acrylic nails, waxing, definition brows, express lashes, lash-lift and brow shape & tint.

Carla Wyse, Nail & Beauty Technician……Carla joined our team in summer 2019. Returning to work after having her son, Carla is a fully qualified and experienced CND Nail Technician and also fully trained in acrylic nails, Henna brows, semi-permanent lashes, lash-lift and brow shape & tint.

Lisa Chandler, Make Up Artist……Lisa graduated from college in 2019 as a fully qualified makeup artist. Lisa is based at our salon and is available by appointment for all types of makeup, eye treatments and makeup lessons.
